Tommy Bahama. Bugatchi. Stone Rose. 7 Diamonds. These are just a few of the men’s clothing brands that Jack N’ Jules sells.
“We are a very hip and contemporary store,” says owner Jack D’Agostino. “We have been in business for 23 years, and we have always helped our customers dress stylish at prices that are equal to or better than other men’s clothing stores.”
D’Agostino and his wife Belinda started out in Lawrenceville and then moved their store to Hamilton Township. Now located at 2360 Highway 33 in Robbinsville’s Washington Town Center, Jack N’ Jules was one of the first businesses open in the development.
“We love the Town Center,” D’Agostino said. “We have been here for the past five years. The entire concept of people living above the stores is great. We are pulling from the entire area – south and north of us because we are centrally located. Moving here to this location has been a win-win. I believe in shopping local. My family and I shop local. So we like having our store in a local spot.”
Jack N’ Jules has been a popular store in the area.
“We will make sure that no two men have the same shirt and tie at a function,” said D’Agostino. “We buy three or four of an item, as opposed to a large department store that will buy a dozen of one item. All of our clothing is selected by me, and I am always going for top quality.”
At the store, noted for its suits, D’Agostino gives every customer special attention.
“We can customize any suit for any man. When a customer comes into the store, we want to give him a great product with great service. We also have a large selection of specialty items, and all of the alterations are done right here on the premises.”
After satisfying sharp-dressed men with his apparel, D’Agostino came up with an ingenious idea.
“We saw that there were no woman’s clothing stores in the area, so we decided to jump on the bandwagon, and open a woman’s boutique,” said D’Agostino about inJeanous, a store that is run by his daughter Tina.
The boutique, which started out as a jeans and tops store, now has an entire line of active wear, dresses for all occasions, purses, jewelry and accessories.
“I love it,” said Tina D’Agostino, 25 and a graduate of Steinert High School, about her boutique that opened up in November 2006, and is at the same location as Jack N’ Jules in a separate area of the store. “It is wonderful because I get to be with my parents every day.”
InJeanous sells popular brands such as Joe’s Jeans, Mavi Jeans, Weston Wear, Frank Lyman, Big Buddha and Alberto Makali.
“There is something here for all women,” said Tina D’Agostino. “It is like a mother and daughter store—a place where they can both find something that looks good on each of them and is age appropriate.”
In the spring, Tina D’Agostino will be sending out a mailer with discounts on apparel and accessories.
“We always like to have promotions for our customers,” she said. “We have many customers who come in every week, and who have become our friends.”
One customer who has become a friend is Bob Sisti.
“The store and boutique are great,” he said. “They are like the fine dining of apparel, but all at a great price. Jack N’ Jules is like a staple of life.”
If you come into inJeanous on a Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., customers can be a part of the “shoppy hour” which is like the happy hour of shopping.
“Our shoppy hour is open to the public, and everyone who comes here has a great time,” said Tina D’Agostino. “We have some food, some fun, and women get to do some shopping.”
Like her dad and mom, Tina D’Agostino believes that customer service is the most important part of the business.
“We really take care of our customers,” she said. “We work one-on-one with them, and when they leave here, we want them to look great and feel great.”
