The Greenwood Avenue Farmers Market is set to celebrate its final day of the season with a community Fall Festival on Monday, October 26, 2015. The event will be held from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 427 Greenwood Avenue in Trenton.
Geared toward adults and children of all ages, residents are encouraged to come out and celebrate with great food– fresh fruits, vegetables and baked goods. The event will include free pumpkin soup tastings, free apple cider samples, as well as pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, spooky story time, games and giveaways. Fall Fest will also include a DJ, a Halloween dance and a “Thriller” exercise at 5 p.m. in addition to health screenings.
SNAP/EBT, WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition coupons will be accepted; these customers can also redeem any remaining “Good Food Bucks” matching farmers market coupons they may still have for the purchase of fruits and vegetables.
