With the fall sports season in full swing, the New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute (NJPNI) is urging local parents to take proactive steps in understanding and managing concussions in children and teens.

“Concussions are often overlooked or minimized, but even a mild head injury can have lasting effects on a child’s health, learning, and performance,” said Dr. Janti Chabaan, Pediatric Neurologist at NJPNI’s Hamilton office. “Parents play a critical role in recognizing symptoms early and ensuring children get the care they need.”
