A retrospective exhibit of the work of Jon Naar is planned for a Jan. 19 opening at the New Jersey State Museum.
Part of the New Jersey Artist Series, Jon Naar: Signature Photography will include 62 works by the Trenton resident. The images chosen by museum curator Margaret O’Reilly spans seven decades of the artist’s work.
Naar’s photography runs the gamut from architecture to art; photojournalism to portraiture. The London native has photographed many notables over the years, including Andy Warhol and has had his work published in leading magazines.
His images have been exhibited in museums in New York City, Los Angeles, Paris, Zurich and elsewhere.
Also an author, Naar has authored or co-authored a dozen books on art, environmentalism and other topics.

Trenton 2 Night making return to downtown scene
Second Fridays are back and will be happening at the DeRosa Group building, 354 S. Broad St.
Every Second Friday of every month, local artists will gather in what is being billed as a relaxing, fun and inspirational after-work event.
“Through the Looking Glass,” set for Jan. 11 from 4 to 8 p.m., will be an art exhibition curated by Tamara Ramos and presented by the DeRosa Group’s Matt Faircloth, Wanda Malave-Johnson and filmmaker Kell Ramos.
The visual artists exhibiting their work will be Rosanne Ludwigson, Nicole Hamilton, Jeff Stewart, Roman Kononov, Kyle Lang, Jennifer Rose Most, Hari Hawkins and Tamara Ramos. The artwork will be available for purchase.
Musical entertainment will be provided by DJ Kountree and the band Beautiful Ivory. Refreshments provided by Trenton Social will be available for purchase.
