Auditions for Rent: School Edition set for May 23

Auditions for the rock musical “Rent: School Edition” will be held on Wednesday, May 23 at 5:00 p.m. at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center. All actors between the ages of fifteen to nineteen are welcome to audition. “Rent: School Edition” by Jonathan Larson will be the premiere production of the Bordentown Teen Theatre Company, an organization newly formed by the Bordentown Community District Alliance. This Tony Award-winning musical about finding love and living for today has been specially adapted for teen performers by Music Theatre International.

Those auditioning should bring a short song to sing and an accompaniment track. Rehearsals will be held July 22 through August 2. If cast, there is a $50 fee to participate in this production.

Performances will be held on August 2 and 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for seniors and students and can be purchased at the door.

The Bordentown Performing Arts Center is attached to Bordentown Regional High School located at 318 Ward Avenue.
