Two local farms are getting set to host visitors this weekend.

Fairgrown Farm in Hopewell is set to host a Holiday Market event on Friday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The free open air market is set to feature treats, crafts, gifts and more. Vendors scheduled to attend include Beechtree Farm, Bre’s Baked Bites, Cabbage Patch Craft, The Dimpled Date, Fresh Kitchen, Gorgeous Goat Creamery, Is it Spicy Sauce Co., Kaos Craft Creations, Little Balkan, Morganics Family Farm, Pearl Coffee, Periwinkle Skies, Princeton Fitness and Wellness, Sourland Bread and Zell’s Farm.

Fairgrown Farm is located at 260 Wargo Road in Hopewell.

On Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7, Needle Creek Farm Brewery is looking to bring further small-town holiday charm to Hopewell with its Holiday Christkindlmarkt, a two-day indoor–outdoor Christmas market featuring artisan vendors, seasonal food and live entertainment.

The event is to be held at the brewery’s farm property at 91 Titus Mill Road on Saturday, Dec. 6 from noon to 8 p.m. Admission is free, and the market will take place rain or shine.

Organizers say the Christkindlmarkt is designed to feel like a traditional Christmas village, complete with fire pits, s’mores, a string-lit beer garden and a lineup of seasonal brews. Visitors will be able to see farm animals and experience an outdoor play area for children.

Food trucks will be on site throughout the day, and the taproom will host live music and games to round out the celebration. Barn Picks & Stuff and Needle Creek Farm Brewery are jointly hosting the event.

Families are encouraged to bring their children, meet local makers and take in what organizers are describing as a festive, community-centered way to kick off the holiday season.
