Herb tasting and lecture to be held at Princeton Windrows

The Delaware Valley Unit of the Herb Society of America is set to sponsor a lecture and luncheon on the topic of “Growing and Tasting from Around the World” on April 24 at 9:30 a.m.

The speakers for this event are Jon Hauge of the Savory Spice Shop in Princeton and Dr. Sasha Eisenman Assistant Professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture at Temple University.

Hauge will discuss herbs from Mexico, Central and South America.

Eisenman’s subject is “Do You Know What Tarragon You’re Growing?”which explores the research he has done on tarragon, a herbaceous perennial which grows in western North America, Eastern Europe and most of temperate Asia.

The luncheon will be prepared by the Windrows chef, Richard Blagrave, who has created a variety of dishes using the herbs and spices presented in the lectures.

The program, including lunch, costs $35.

The event will take place at Princeton Windrows at 2000 Windrow Drive, Princeton.
