Princeton University Concerts (PUC) will kick off its Meet the Music family concert series on Nov. 8 with its first performance, “The Magical World of Maurice Ravel.”
Hosted by Bruce Adolphe, Director of Family Programs at The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, this program tells the story of a young, struggling pianist who is determined to play a piece by Ravel. In a dream, the pianist is visited by the composer himself, who reveals the secrets to his talent. The concert is recommended for children ages six and older.
The event will take place at 1 p.m. at the Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Those interested should purchase tickets early at princetonuniversityconcerts.org or by phone at 258-9220.
In conjunction with this concert, PUC has collaborated with the Arts Council of Princeton’s Art & Music mini-camp, “Music, Magic and Mixed Media Mash-up!” which will be held Nov. 6 and 7 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For more information about the mini-camp visit artscouncilofprinceton.org.
