The Princeton Photography Club (PPC) is set to hold its next general meeting on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. The event will take place at D&R Greenway Land Trust located at 1 Preservation Place in Princeton.
Guest speaker Ron Wyatt will present a talk entitled “Practical Travel Photography,” in which he will share tips for creating memorable travel images.
Wyatt will explain the fundamentals of shooting great vacation shots, capturing the flavor of local cultures and capturing landscapes in their best light. He will offer advice on the preparation and selection of photo gear and the practicalities of traveling with it. Wyatt will discuss “storytelling with your camera,” offer tips for photographing people and reveal his methods for better street photography. The presentation will be illustrated with images from Wyatt’s recent travels to China, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Wyatt is a self-taught photographer who has covered the NBA, NFL and MLB. He photographed two Summer Olympic Games (Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008); his Olympic coverage was featured in Studio Photography in November 2008 and in Rangefinder in July 2009. Wyatt’s photography has allowed him to travel to many parts of the world and his work has appeared in numerous publications including USA Today, Time Magazine, Newsweek, ESPN, Popular Photography and Digital Photographer UK.
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be offered.
