WW Senior Center A Sandy Godsend

Thank you, thank you, thank you. The West Windsor Senior Center was a life support during Hurricane Sandy. The amazing staff provided light, heat, sources of power for electronic equipment and cell phones, as well as tea, coffee, and a good feeling. Its doors were open 24 hours a day for as long as was needed. The affection staff showed people coming through the door lent a warmth of its own.

I experienced and saw numerous examples of people helping each other and comforting each other. While we could all live without another hurricane, there was beauty in our community’s response to a very difficult time.

I’d like to end this note as I started: thank you, West Windsor Senior Center.
