Where’s Hsueh?

Please forgive that this correspondence is not typed. I have been without power. I am a resident of West Windsor for 24 years. Like everyone else I have been listening to the transistor radio in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene. While listening to the radio, mayors from various towns called in to give updates.

I called town hall at approximately 12:30 p.m. I called Mayor Hsueh’s office to see if Mayor Hsueh had spoken with the power companies. I was told that Mayor Hsueh was in a meeting making emergency plans to open High School South so residents could take showers, charge cell phones and computers, and obtain ice for medications. A little late to be making emergency plans.

I then asked what would happen for residents who could not drive to High School South. I had surgery for a fractured patella and am unable to drive. The concerned operator assured me I would hear from the mayor’s office as soon as the meeting was over. As of this writing at 6:30 p.m., I have not heard a word back. Not even a courtesy call. No call at all.

Where is Mayor Hsueh? Is that what the mayor thinks of residents?

I made my own emergency plans and had my property tax payment hand-delivered on August 26, Friday, to make sure it was there before Hurricane Irene struck.
