As a West Windsor Shade Tree Commission volunteer, I wanted to share some news about an upcoming Arbor Day celebration.

The Township of West Windsor Shade Tree Commission will hold a delayed Arbor Day celebration due to the pandemic and the school calendar.

Part of this celebration is an Art Contest for all WW-P District students or West Windsor students who are privately schooled.

This includes students from grades K-12. The theme this year is, “Thank a Tree,” and forms for entry to this contest can be obtained through the schools, township office, or the township webpage at westwindsornj.org.

The winners will have their artwork displayed in the township offices and receive their prizes at the Arbor Day celebration.

The event will take place Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Ronald R. Rogers Arboretum at the corner of Clarksville and Princeton-Hightstown Roads at 10 a.m.
