Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes recently announced new health care enrollment opportunities for Central New Jersey residents at the Mercer County Connection office in Hamilton.

Starting Nov. 19, County Connection will host weekly events with trained professionals from SRA International, Inc., who will provide free assistance in English and Spanish to any New Jersey resident interested in enrolling in coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Outreach professionals from Enroll America’s Get Covered America campaign will also be available to answer questions and provide resources and support.

“By partnering with Enroll America and SRA, Mercer County is helping to ensure that our residents have every opportunity to access quality, affordable health coverage right in our community,” said County Executive Brian Hughes. “These enrollment events will help to give Mercer County residents the peace of mind that they deserve and the knowledge that their family will have access to medical care when they need it most.”

Enrollment opportunities will be available each week at the Mercer County Connection office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through Jan. 1. The office is located at the Acme Hamilton Square Shopping Center, 957 Highway 33, Hamilton. Residents can walk-in or call 890-9800 to schedule an appointment to meet with a trained professional. There will also be Saturday enrollment events geared toward connecting the uninsured who may work during the week with access to in-person help.

Events will take place on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 25, Dec. 2, Dec. 9, Dec. 16, Dec. 23 and Dec. 30; on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 26, Dec. 3, Dec. 10, Dec. 17, Dec. 23 and Dec. 31; and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 13, Jan. 10 and Feb. 14.

Enroll America is the nation’s leading health care enrollment coalition, bringing together community and health organizations, businesses and others to inform consumers about the new health coverage options and how to enroll in them. It is an independent, nonpartisan, non-profit organization focused on maximizing the number of Americans who enroll in and retain health coverage.
