Zonta Club offers scholarship for women

Zonta Club of Trenton/Mercer is accepting applications for its Grace Brauninger Scholarship.

The club awards the scholarship each year to women within Mercer County. This year’s application deadline is scheduled for June 13.

Grace Brauninger, a late member of Zonta Club of Trenton/Mercer epitomized the mission of Zonta and its service to women and children in the community.

Zonta Club president Mary Brandt said the club offers scholarships up to $2,500 to women continuing their education to help increase their opportunities.

Over the years, the club has awarded scholarships to to more than 25 women. Grantees have included nursing students or women going to trade schools.

Eligible applicants must be a full or part-time student at least 25 years old attending a school in New Jersey. Applicants must also be a resident of Mercer County.
