I was ruefully amused by the big two-page ad in the April 26 edition of the News, for our new Windsor Plaza. The idea, remember, was to give Princeton Junction and West Windsor a “real downtown.” So what did we get? Four fast-food joints (the bane of any health conscious community), a nail salon, a yoga studio . . . All the necessities of life.
What we need — the most basic need of any community — is an honest-to-goodness grocery! Instead we are now a “food desert” like the South Bronx and other under-privileged neighborhoods. Congratulations to all concerned.
