The Friends of the West Windsor branch of the Mercer County Library wish to thank the community for its generous support of our 32nd Annual Book Sale by donating and purchasing more than 40,000 books. The book sale was a great success!

We also want to thank the many volunteers whose constant support make this sale possible and fun to run. Additional particular thanks to Sam’s Club, McCaffrey’s, Wegman’s, and Trader Joe’s for providing us with boxes and flats in which to display our wares, McCaffrey’s for supplying grocery bags to hold purchases and cookies to sell, Wegman’s and Trader Joe’s for providing food and drinks for our volunteers to enjoy, and our local press — the WW-P News and other area newspapers — for advertising our book sale dates and times.

The annual book sale is the Friends of the Library’s main fundraiser. All items sold were donated by the community since last year’s sale. Many of the donations are put into circulation at the library, while others are sorted and held for sale. Proceeds from the sale are used to sponsor special community events; fund the library’s programming; expand the library’s collection; as well as provide other projects and purchases not supported by the Mercer County Library System budget so that our branch can better meet the needs of our community.

The West Windsor Library accepts donations of new and gently used books and audio visual materials during library hours. Please bring your donations to the circulation desk. Tax receipts are available. Please call ahead if you have a large number of donations. Information about the Friends of the Library organization and our donations policy is available on our website: sites.google.com/site/friendsofthewestwindsorlibrary. We hope to see you at next year’s sale or our ongoing sale of special books inside the library.
