So What’s New?

Two comments offered in response to stories in the January 18 issue of the News:

1. The Cyanamid site could have been used for the hospital with very little tax burden for residents. But now it’s being considered for other uses. That means more houses like the new apartments on Clarksville Road. More traffic, kids in schools, and tax hikes. What else is new?

2. Parks are nice but after they are up and running who takes care of them — public works, more taxpayer money? What else is new?

I have lived in this township 22.5 years and my taxes have gone so high I may not be able to live here anymore. Please give us all a break. Stop telling the public the good of all of this development and start balancing the books so we can lower taxes and live in an already nice place.
