The Town Center PTA and the staff at the school would like to express our gratitude to the Boy Scouts, Plainsboro Troop No. 168, for helping rebuild the planting beds at our school garden—in particular, we want to thank Advait Bantwal, Alex Ho, Josh Parmar, Kunal Deshpande, Rohan Sharma, Mihir Adurti, Vivek Kanneganti and their leaders, Sridhar Adurti, Prasanth Kanneganti and Ashok Sarma.

Town Center Elementary School in Plainsboro maintains a garden for students to plant, grow and harvest vegetables, as well as to learn lessons about sustainability and the environment. Over the years the garden has seen many additions including, the planting of fruit trees, trellises and building a tool shed.

On Earth Day, April 22, scouts and leaders demolished the rotten wood around four of our beds then built and installed new ones, and before leaving, they completely cleaned the garden. PTA funds purchased the ecologically friendly cedar planks used to frame the new beds, but the Boy Scouts made all the rest happen.

The Town Center students cannot wait to make use of the new planting beds in the next two months.
