The familiar, haunting and often delightful imagery of 29 Mercer County photographers will be on display at the Gallery at Mercer County Community College.
My Mercer: Mercer County Photography 2013 exhibition is set to run Nov. 19 to Dec. 18. An opening reception and awards ceremony is scheduled for 5 to 7 :30 p.m. Nov. 20.
In commemoration of the county’s 175th anniversary, photographers were asked to submit photos that feature the people, places, things, and events that make Mercer County a special place to live, work, study and enjoy.
The juror for the show was award-winning Trenton Times photographer Michael Mancuso, who selected 49 photos in total.
Photographers are Anne Freeman of Clinton, Robert Terrano of East Windsor, Keith Swango and Larry Straus of Ewing, Joseph Gilchrist of Hamilton, Janice Montervino, Harold Ordonez, Zac Santanello and Sandra Simpson of Hamilton, Bill Felder, Jonathan Michalick, Anne Stefane and Harvey Steinberg of Lawrenceville, Cheryl Bomba, Jay Brandinger and John Symons of Pennington of Pennington, Elsie Allen, Richard DeFalco, Lionel Goodman, Janet Hautau, Jody Kendall, Charles Plohn Sandra Shapiro Richard Trenner and Samuel Vovsi of Princeton, Lee Whiteman of Robbinsville, Christina Stadelmeier of Trenton and Kapu Patel and Jerry Spielman of West Windsor.
The exhibition is co-sponsored by and supported through a grant from the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission, with funding from the New Jersey State Council of the Arts/Department of State, a partner of the National Endowment for the Arts.
The MCCC Gallery is located on the second floor of the Communication Building on Mercer’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
Gallery hours for this show are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
