Valor Award Ceremony brings Unit Citation honors to Mercer County Sheriff’s Officers

Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler has announced that on Saturday, November 21, 2015 seven Mercer County Sheriff’s Officers were honored with this year’s Unit Citation Award at the State Policeman’s Benevolent Association’s Annual Valor Award Ceremony. The State PBA Annual Valor Award Banquet was held at Caesar’s in Atlantic City.

Honorees included Sgt. James Nizolek, Sgt. Jeremy Stewart, Det. William Perez, Det. Pablo Santiago, Det. Joseph Tuccillo, Det. James Udijohn, and Det. Dean Wylie.

The Unit Citation Award is one of the highest honors the New Jersey State Policeman’s Benevolent Association bestows upon members of local law enforcement. The Unit Citation is awarded to law enforcement units, which display outstanding performance, gallantry, determination, and esprit de corps in accomplishing their duties under difficult or hazardous conditions.
