6th annual Small Business Fair set for May 3

Princeton Public Library is set to host the sixth annual Small Business Fair.

The fair, co-sponsored by the Princeton chapter of SCORE, is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 3 in the library’s Community Room, 65 Witherspoon St., Princeton.

Princeton SCORE marketing director and Small Business Fair event chair, Gail Derby, said This event connects local small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs with organizations and resources to help them succeed in today’s challenging marketplace.

“The sixth annual Small Business Fair features our most diverse mix of exhibitors yet, offering services, resources and seminars geared toward supporting local small business owners,” Derby said in a statement. Experienced SCORE counselors, library staff and a variety of agencies/service providers will offer a ‘one-stop-shop’ of information related to starting or improving a small business.

The fair is set to include exhibits on small business assessments and planning; industry, market and competitor research; funding sources for a start-up or expansion; insurance needs and options; franchise advice and opportunities; accounting, tax and payroll services; legal services; government resources and programs; marketing, branding, public relations, search engine optimization and social media.

The fair will also include mini-seminars. Scheduled seminars are titled Intellectual Property…Not Business as Usual, Secrets to Funding your Business, and Small Business Marketing in the Digital Age.
