Princeton Junior School steps closer to IB World School status

Princeton Junior School has been accepted as a candidate school for the International BaccalaureatePrimary Years Program and is pursuing authorization as an IB World School.

Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programs, which include Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program (MYP), Diploma Program and the IB Career-related Certificate.

Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.

IB World Schools share a common commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a community of students by delivering challenging, high-quality programs of international education that are supported by credible research and share a powerful vision.

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop programs of international education and assessment.

Princeton Junior School is set to host an IB information session on 8:15 a.m. July 11. To register for the session call (609) 924-8126.

The school is currently accepting applications for the 2013-14 school year.
