LPP to host Re-Imagine Day May 16

Lawrenceville Presbyterian Preschool is set to host its Re-Imagine Day Going Green event on Saturday, May 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The school is located at 2688 Main Street in Lawrenceville.

The family-friendly event will feature a sale of vegetable, herb and flower transplants, local food and artists, workshops, live music and activities for all ages.Entertainment will include Westminster Conservatory’s Dr. Tim Urban with “Going Green Musically” and Edward George, Storytelling and Song, plus family art, craft and learning activities with Lawrenceville Presbyterian Preschool teachers.

Visitors can register for workshops in canning with Sharon Vecciarelli of To Nourish, jam-making with Sarah Hlubik of Hlubik Farms and Gardening 101 with Kate Douthat of Dogtooth Gardens. Workshops are $15 each, or two workshops for $25.

The event will also feature local nonprofits with information to share about sustainable living.

Participating local businesses include Cherry Grove Organic Farm, Hlubik Farms, Happy Wanderer Bakery, Terra Momo Learning Kitchen, Kale’s Nursery, TerraCycle, Pensive Weeds, The Artisan Tree, Naturally Fit and Well, Arlee’s Raw Blends, In the Leopard Closet, Yellow Bee Honey and more.
