Lawrence organizations receive $27,000 in grants

The Lawrence Township Community Foundation presented grants totaling $27,000 to 17 local community organizations on December 11, 2014.

The foundation has given out more than $799,156 in grants to over 50 Lawrence Township nonprofits since it began in 2002

The award recipients included Big Brothers and Big Sisters ($1,500), Big Red Race ($1,000), Greater Eldridge Park Neighborhood Association ($1,000), HomeFront ($1,800), Lawrence Lacrosse Club ($1,000), Lawrence Township Junior Baseball and Softball Association ($500), Lawrence Meals on Wheels ($5,000), Lawrenceville Main Street ($1,000), NAMI Mercer ($3,000), Notre Dame High ($1,000), People and Stories/Gente y Cuentos ($1,000), Prevention Education Inc./PEI Kids ($2,000), Project Freedom ($2,000) Slackwood School English as a Second Language ($2,200), Sustainable Lawrence ($1,000), United Way of Mercer County ($1,000), Volunteer Connect ($500) and Womanspace ($500).
