Competitive Clinics are designed for boys in second through eighth grade. The clinics will consist of six, ninety-minute sessions scheduled Saturday nights from Sept. 14 to Oct. 16.

The competitive clinics are designed to further develop player’s skills in the off-season and to introduce new players to lacrosse in a relaxed environment. The focus will be on fine-tuning lacrosse stick skills in scooping, cradling, catching, passing, dodging, etc. while having fun.

Sessions for the second, third and fourth grade teams are set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sessions for the fifth and sixth grade teams are set for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sessions for the seventh and eighth grade teams are set for 7:30 to 9 p.m.

Clinics are set for Village Park in Lawrence Township on the Yeger Drive side of the park.

The cost of the program is $30 and participants are required to become members of US Lacrosse for insurance purposes. US Lacrosse charges $25 for a membership, which is valid for one year.

Players should provide their own equipment, including helmet, lacrosse stick, chest and arm pads, gloves and a mouth guard. The club does have a limited number of sets of equipment that are available for new players to borrow with a deposit.

West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South head lacrosse coach Matt Foret, Head Lacrosse Coach and Lawrence High School assistant lacrosse coach Dan Brennan are set to lead this program.
