Lawrence American Legion to host Veterans Day ceremony Nov 7

The Lawrence Township American Legion Post 414 is set to host a Veterans Day ceremony on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 100 Berwyn Place starting at 10 a.m.

The event will feature keynote speaker Major Lee Gerber, Assistant Director of the Army Education Program at Princeton University. Lawrence Boy and Girl Scouts will participate in the program and the Lawrence High School Madrigal will render several vocal selections. Awards will also be presented to three Lawrence students for essays on Veterans Day. A reception will be held at the conclusion of the program.

Special recognition will be given to World War Two veterans, commemorating the 70th anniversary of America’s victory in World War Two. Veterans are encouraged to attend the ceremonies. The program is planned by the Spirit of Lawrence Patriotic Committee.
