Terhune Orchards is set to host the third annual Sustainable Fare for Sustainable Jersey dinner.

Chefs from across the state are set to celebrate the farm-to-table movement and promote awareness about sustainability efforts while raising money for Sustainable Jersey.

Guests will enjoy cocktails and a seven-course meal made from New Jersey sourced ingredients and paired with Terhune Orchards’ award-winning wines.

Diners will be treated to an overview of each course by the chef that prepared it, as well as an explanation of its wine pairing by Gary Mount of Terhune Orchards. Diners will also be sent home with local produce grown on the farm.

Riverside Band, a local five-piece acoustic string group, is set to perform throughout the meal.

Chefs who have volunteered for the event include Chris Albrecht, an executive chef from Princeton, Scott Anderson of Elements and Mistral (Princeton), Gabby Carbone of the Bent Spoon (Princeton), Gary Giberson of Sustainable Fare (Island Heights), Demetrios Haronis of FIN (Atlantic City), Christine McGrath of Washington House (Basking Ridge), Robyn Reiss of A Toute Heure (Cranford), Dan Richer of Arturos (Maplewood) and Terry Strong of Mediterra (Princeton).

Sustainable Jersey, a non-profit organization, runs a certification program that empowers towns to build a better world for present and future generations. The program provides a roadmap towns can follow to initiate and promote sustainable actions that improve the quality of life. More than 410 towns have registered to become a part of the program and more than 130 towns are now certified.

Sustainable Fare for Sustainable Jersey is scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. July 31 at Terhune Orchards, 330 Cold Soil Road, Lawrenceville.

Tickets are $150.
