Chapin School’s new renovated space.

Headmaster Richard Johnson opened new and renovated spaces at Chapin School during a ribbon-cutting ceremony before a crowd of students and parents Sept. 2.

The new spaces are part of a $13 million facilities improvement plan by the independent school that serves pre-k through eighth grade students in Princeton. Plans include new classrooms, a science lab and library for the lower school and large gathering spaces.

The school plans to host an Open House for the public to tour the new spaces on 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 21.

Chapin School is located at 4101 Princeton Pike, Princeton.
