Chabad of Lawrenceville to lead CAN-orah Dec. 17

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 5:30 p.m. the Chabad of Lawrenceville will orchestrate a food drive at the Quaker Bridge Mall JC Penney court. Volunteers will collect canned goods in front of the large Menorah to be distributed to local food pantries. Rabbi Yitzchak Goldenberg and Lawrence Township Councilman Michael Powers will join the lighting ceremony and welcome participants.

“The CAN-orah is perfect,” said Rabbi Goldenberg of Chabad & Young Israel of Lawrenceville, “Chanukah is about bringing light into this world. The food cans will brighten the day of many people in need and is sure to add more light into our world.”

Refreshments will be served with donuts and drinks. A photo shoot with Dreidel Man will be available for children. All participants will receive a Dreidel, Chanukah Gelt and Menorah kits to take home.

Those interested in helping can bringing canned food to the designated location on the date of collection.
