American Legion to host Job and Resource Fair for military personnel

The American Legion plans to host a job and resource fair for military, guard, veterans and military spouces on Thursday, April 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at the Lawrenceville Armory located at 151 Eggerts Crossing Road.

The event will include a workshop for military job seekers that focuses on resume writing and interviewing. Companies will range from some of the country’s biggest employers to dozens of smaller regional companies as well as service providers for homelessness, criminal justice involvement and mental health.

The Department of Veterans Affairs will present an interactive overview of medical and mental health services available to current and former women service members. There will be three– 1 hours sessions stating at 9:30, and 10:45, and lastly at Noon. This is a newly developed program to assist women in the military and veterans with their specific needs.

Interested job seekers can register at VeteranReentry@spb.state.nj.us. Walk-in job seekers are welcomed (veterans must provide proof of service).
