Sourland Conservancy wins Banff Mountain Film Festival award

Blue Ridge Mountain Sports of Princeton named the Sourland Conservancy the recipient of the 2013-2014 Banff Mountain Film Festival award.

The conservancy received this award in recognition of its efforts to protect the ecological integrity, historic resources and special character of the Sourland Mountain region.

As an award recipient, the conservancy will receive a portion of the proceeds from the Banff Mountain Film Festival in Princeton to fund its educational programs and advocacy efforts.

Blue Ridge Mountain Sports is set to host a showing of inspiring, thought-provoking, environmental, and adventure mountain films from the 2014 festival in Banff, Alberta.

The film festival is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 25 and April 26 at Princeton University’s McCosh Hall 10.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival’s World Tour showcases award-winning films and audience favorites from more than 400 communities around the world.

Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at Blue Ridge Mountain Sports in the Princeton Shopping Center, on the Web at princeton.edu/utickets/ or by calling the Frist Campus Center ticket office at (609) 258-922.
