Nancy McKeon, 18, a recent graduate of Hopewell Valley Central High School, received the $250 scholarship on June 15 at Senior Awards Night. McKeon plans to major in environmental policy and science at Rutgers University.

In high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society and was president of Key Club. She is also active in the school’s Thespian Troupe and plays clarinet in the high school’s Symphonic Band.

McKeon has been a Watershed volunteer since 2013. She is also a former camper, was a camp counselor in 2016 and will be a camp counselor in summer 2017. She said she intends to use the funds to help purchase a laptop computer and other college materials.
