The Tulpehaking Nature Center invites families to discover the art of fishing on Saturday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to noon. On Fishing Day, children and adults can fish for free — no equipment or fishing license required.

For this event, the nature center will be on site at Spring Lake in Roebling Memorial Park in Hamilton with guided activities, equipment and fishing lessons. Visitors can practice their casting skills on the challenge course, learn about common sport fish and fishing regulations, or go lakeside for some catch-release fishing with the experts. New Jersey state fishing licenses are not required on this day.

A limited number of fishing poles will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Spring Lake is accessible from Sewell Avenue, off South Broad Street. Registration is required; call (609) 888-3218 or e-mail natureprograms@mercercounty.org.

For more information about the nature center, programs and schedule of events, visit mercercountyparks.org.
