Septemberfest to honor hometown heroes

Hamilton Township is set to honor its hometown Heroes at this year’s Septemberfest.

The event organized to show gratitude to armed forces personnel, veterans, police, fire and emergency responders who call Hamilton home.

Septemberfest is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 15 at Veterans Park, 2206 Kuser Road, Hamilton.

In addition to crafters, vendors and exhibitors that traditionally take part in the celebration, this year’s event is set to include the participation of armed forces and veterans groups, an army tank and “touch-a-truck” area for children to see military and emergency response vehicles up close.

Septemberfest also features food, music, entertainment and children’s amusement rides

Vendor applications for local businesses and organizations are online.

The rain date for Septemberfest is scheduled for Sept. 22.
