Sayen Elementary School has been selected as one of the 71 recipients in the U.S. of a National Character.org award. Nineteen schools received this distinction in New Jersey.

Character.org, formerly known as the Character Education Partnership, created the 11 Principles Framework for Schools: A Guide to Cultivating a Culture of Character. The organization’s vision is to be the global leader and voice for developing character in families, schools, and organizations.

“We are honored to be named a National School of Character. This recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to kindness, honesty, and respect. These core values guide everything we do, shaping a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Character is the foundation of everything we do at Sayen Elementary School,” said Principal Diana Vasil.
