Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton is set to build a post acute rehabilitation center on its campus.

RWJ Hamilton signed a lease with Burris Construction Company, D.B.A. Burris Post Acute Network, to develop a short stay private rehabilitation facility. Once construction is complete, Genesis HealthCare plans to operate and manage the facility.

“Our relationship with Burris will continue to grow and strengthen the future of healthcare in our region and in New Jersey,” RWJ Hamilton president and CEO, Anthony “Skip” Cimino, said in a statement. “We know from past experience that Burris can get the job done.”

The development of the rehabilitation center is expected to create more than 150 jobs, stimulate the Hamilton economy, and provide exciting opportunities for collaboration between Genesis HealthCare and RWJ Hamilton.

Burris Post Acute Network is set to design and construct a 110 private suite. The company plans to complete construction in two phases.

Burris is proud member of The Health Care Association of New Jersey and New Jersey Hospital Association.
