Hamilton Township accepting photos for calendar contest

Hamilton Mayor Kelly A. Yaede challenges photographers to showcase the township’s parks, recreation facilities and events in this year’s calendar photo contest.

The theme of the Hamilton’s 2014 calendar is “Hamilton Township families enjoying our hometowns.” Selected pictures are set to be used in the calendar, which is sent to households in the community.

A committee of township officials are set to will select the final photographs for inclusion based upon the theme. Photo credits will be included in the calendar.

Residents can submit photos reflecting the theme. Suggested subjects are township parks, public areas and community events like Septemberfest, Fall Harvest, Winter Wonderland and parades.

As in past years, participating residents are asked to submit photographs with a signed disclaimer form, giving full permission for the photograph to be used for the calendar. Also, photographs of any person or private object must have the permission of the photographed person or the work’s rightful owner for use in the calendar Permission forms are online.

Submissions must be sent via email attachment to ddegregory@hamiltonnj.com no later than Oct. 4. Attached photos should be at least 300 DPI or minimum dimensions of 3000 x 2400 pixels.
