Hamilton resident becomes second generation paratrooper

Hamilton resident Master Sergeant Myles Cappiello, a paratrooper in the Army Reserves, and and his son Private First Class Justin Cappiello board an Air Force C-130 at the US Army’s Airborne School in Fort Benning, Ga.

Private First Class Justin Cappiello of Hamilton followed his father’s, Master Sergeant Myles Cappiello, footsteps and enlisted as a paratrooper in the Army Reserves.

PFC Cappiello, a Nottongham High School alumnus, graduated from US Army’s Airborne School on July 19 in Fort Benning, Ga. During the ceremony, MSG Myles Cappiello pinned the prestigious silver parachutist wings on his son’s chest.

PFC Cappiello is continuing further specialized training with the Army.

Another Nottingham High School alumnus, Private First Class Michael Lombardo, also graduated the Airborne School and is assigned to the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division.
