Hamilton police respond to shots fired call on Victor Avenue

Hamilton Township police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Victor Avenue.

Police responded to a shots fired call in the first block of Victor Avenue on Jan. 17 at approximately 7:35 p.m., according to a statement from the police. Officers found six shell casings from a 40 caliber weapon. Investigators were able to determine that two bullets struck one house. An unoccupied, parked vehicle and another home were also each struck once by the bullets.

Police said witnesses reported observing a white sedan — possibly a Toyota — flee the area after the shots were fired. There is no further description of the vehicle or any occupants.

Investigators have not determined who was the intended target of the gunfire or the reason at this time. Police said no one was injured during this incident.
