Eat Local Mercer, a collective of restaurants, cafes, bars and specialty food shops in Mercer County collaborating to highlight their businesses and encourage local eating, is launching the Get the Gold Challenge.

Organized like a scavenger hunt, the object of the Get the Gold Challenge is to visit each of the eight food-related businesses participating in the challenge.

Participants will be issued a Challenge card. If they get the card validated by all of the businesses by March 17, they will be able to use that card for a 50% discount (up to $10 off) at any of the participating businesses.

Establishments participating in Get the Gold Challenge include Blend Bar and Bistro, located at 911 Route 33 in Hamilton; Carella’s Chocolates and Gifts, located at 2503 Nottingham Way in Hamilton; Centro Grille, located at 2360 Route 33 in Robbinsville; Donuts Time Café, located at 1280 Route 33 in Hamilton; FunniBonz BBQ Smokehouse, located at 1045 Washington Blvd. in Robbinsville; Jersey Girl Café located at 731 Route 33 in Hamilton and 608 Marketplace Blvd. in Hamilton; Tans Tasty Cakes, located at 29 George Dye Rd. in Hamilton; and Vito’s Pizza, located at 1249 Route 33 in Hamilton.

Get the Gold Challenge cards are now available from the participating businesses.
