On Sunday, June 7, 2015, the National Kidney Foundation will host the 8th Annual Central New Jersey Kidney Walk at Arm and Hammer Park, 1 Thunder Road in Trenton. Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. and the walk will begin at 10 a.m.

The annual fundraising walk hopes to raise over $75,000 to further the organization’s mission of awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease.

Peter Crowley, President and CEO of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce, has been named as this year’s Corporate Walk Chairman. After managing his chronic kidney disease for over 20 years, Crowley received a new kidney from his brother. Crowley and his family will join approximately 800 other walkers at the Kidney Walk on June 7.

The NKF Kidney Walk is a non-competitive walk focusing on education and prevention of kidney and urinary tract diseases and the awareness of the need for organ donation. The Kidney Walk will feature a short walk to bring awareness to kidney disease as well as family-friendly entertainment including music, a free Zumba workout, free food, drinks, raffles and more.
