Villa Victoria Academy is set to celebrate its 80th anniversary on Nov. 9.
The school is set to mark its anniversary with a special liturgy, Wall of Fame ceremony, reception and annual alumnae reunion.
The Wall of Fame is an award bestowed to members of the Villa Victoria community who have shown great dedication to the school and serve as an inspiration to others.
This year’s inductees are James J. Mergiotti, the Manco Family and Tony Neylon.
Mergiotti, a former Villa Victoria parent and board member, is president and CEO of Peirce College.
The Manco Family, including Kay and Frank (posthumously) and Mary Manco Bangle’78, are owners of Manco and Manco Pizza in Ocean City.
Tony Neylon, a former Villa Victoria parent, has raised thousands of dollars for the school over the last 20 years.
The 80th anniversary mass is scheduled for 12 p.m., Wall of Fame ceremony at 1 p.m. and reception at 1:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children under 12 years old.
All proceeds are set to benefit Villa Victoria Academy’s academic and scholarship programs.
Villa Victoria Academy is New Jersey’s oldest private Catholic school for girls in pre K through 12th grade. Villa Victoria was also the first American School owned by the Religious Teachers Filippini, an order of Religious Sisters founded by St. Lucy Filippini in Italy at the end of the seventeenth century.
