PEAC Health & Fitness is set to host its annual American Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, January 18, 2016. The Bloodmobile will be at 1440 Lower Ferry Road in Ewing from 2 to 7 p.m.

According to the American Red Cross, the average adult has about 10 pints of blood in his body. Roughly one pint is given during a donation, and one pint of blood can save as many as three patients. More than 41,000 blood donations are needed every day.

In order to assist in the preparation and efficiency of the Blood Drive, pre-register for a donation appointment. Register online at redcrossblood.org and enter Sponsor Code PEACHealthandFitness. Donors are asked to bring photo identification, eat a healthy breakfast and drink plenty of fluids before donating.

Appointments may also be made through the new Red Cross for mobile devices. Individuals can search the app store or visit redcrossblood.org for more information. The app allows individuals to make appointments, track their donor history and more.
