Ewing resident awarded Fermi Foundation scholarship

Ewing resident William Parr is this year’s recipient of the Fermi Federation scholarship.

For the third consecutive year, the Fermi Federation awarded a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Trenton Catholic Academy senior.

Parr plans to use the scholarship toward furthering his education at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

Scholarship recipients must be of Italian descent, show academic achievement, be an active participant in school and community activities and plan to attend a two- or four-year college. Applicants are required to submit an essay.

The Fermi Federation is a Trenton-based, Italian-American Civic Association founded in 1965.
