Ewing High School grad crowned pageant queen

Ewing High School graduate, Tamara Frater, was crowned Miss Dream Castle 2013 on June 29.

Frater competed in the Fourth Annual Miss Dream Castle Pageant at the Royal Regency Hotel in Yonkers, N.Y. Sponsored by Dream Castle Villa in Jamaica, the pageant was televised throughout the Caribbean.

Frater is a business management major at the College of New Jersey. She is both a Harcourt and a Bonner scholar.

She is also a model and an aspiring singer.

While at Ewing High School, Frater was voted class president, homecoming queen and most likely to succeed.

The Principal Honor student graduated in 2012 with a 3.95 GPA.

Through the competition, Dream Castle Villa CEO and pageant director, Gwendolyn Nicks-James, aims to support women who act as role models throughout their lives. Her goal also includes promoting beauty and talent among all women.

Frater won an academic scholarship and a seven-day trip for two to Dream Castle Villa in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
