Mercer County Clerk, Paula Sollami Covello, and her staff recently collected food items, bedding, cleaning products and toys for area animal shelters as part of their annual holiday charity drive.

“Animal welfare has been a top priority for our office since we began our annual charitable drives in 2006. In Mercer County, we have so many unwanted animals in need of foster care or homes. Animal shelters are always in need of basic items such cleaning supplies, bedding, canned and dry food and toys. It’s the least we can do to help make their lives more comfortable during this winter season,” said Paula Sollami Covello.

Over 1,000 pounds of food and supplies were donated to both EASEL (Ewing) and the Trenton Animal Shelter.
