Rotary Club to collect food for local pantries

The Bordentown Rotary Club is set to sponsor its first Can-a-thon the second weekend in April.

The Can-a-thon kicks off with the Wine Tasting Extravaganza 6:30 p.m. April 10 at Villa Mannino Restaurant on Route 130 in Bordentown. The event features a sampling of international wine and beer and food.

Tickets are $50; proceeds benefit the Bordentown Food Pantry, Bordentown Rotary Scholarship Fund and Rotary International Foundation. The Rotary Club will also be collecting canned and boxed food to donate to local food pantries.

In addition to the Wine Tasting event, the Rotary Club is set to collect food at Acme and ShopRite in Bordentown. Collection is scheduled to begin 6 p.m. April 11 and continue through April 13.
