Car show set for June 18

For the fifth straight year, the Street of Dreams Car Show is back in Bordentown. The show, presented by the Foundation for Bordentown Traditions, is set for Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Farnsworth Avenue. The rain date is Saturday, June 25.Cars must be 1991 or older and can be domestic or foreign, and stock or modified. Parking and registration runs from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and ends promptly at 5 p.m. Cars pay $15 the day of the show. For questions about cars, call Jeff at (609) 209-0852.Awards will be presented at 9 p.m. Trophies include Top 50, Foundation’s Choice (chosen by the Foundation for Bordentown Traditions), Mayor’s Choice (chosen by the Bordentown City Commissioners), People’s Choice, and the Quentin Hausser Memorial Award (chosen by the Downtown Bordentown Association).In addition to cars, the event will feature live music, a beer garden and local resturants, such as the HOB Tavern.Proceeds from the Street of Dreams Car Show will benefit the Foundation for Bordentown Traditions.“The Foundation is excited to kick off our 5th year, with the annual Street of Dreams Car Show which not only serves as fundraiser for the fireworks, but with over 200 cars and an anticipated crowd of 1500, has truly become a Bordentown tradition,” said Christopher Nunn, foundation president.For more information, e-mail bordentowntraditions@gmail.com.
