Bordentown Residents Against Drugs (BRAD) is hosting a free Narcan information and training session on Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Training and information about the opioid overdose reversal drug will be provided by the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Participants will be able to identify factors that led to the current opioid epidemic, recognize overdose symptoms, and appropriately implement life saving strategies during an overdose such as rescue breathing and the administration of naloxone.

Family members, friends, professionals and individuals who are at risk or could be in the presence of someone who is at risk for an overdose are invited to attend. Free naloxone kits will also be given to training attendees.

There are 25 spaces available for the training, but people who register after the first 25 will be added to standby status/priority scheduling for upcoming training dates.

The training will begin at 6 p.m. at the Bordentown Township Senior Citizen Club, 3 Municipal Drive, Bordentown.

To register, contact BRAD coordinator Kevin Moore at (609) 254-4267 or visit www.brad.solutions.
