Bordentown City has plenty of places to shop and eat, but a limited amount of downtown parking can deter people from visiting. City officials are hoping a new shuttle service will help alleviate some of these downtown parking woes.

The city is offering a free shuttle service for visitors who want to shop, eat or stroll through the downtown area, according to a statement posted on the city’s website.

The shuttle will pick up passengers at the Carslake Community Center/Gilder Field Park area of town — where they can park their cars for free — and take them downtown.

Shuttle stops include:

Intersection of Crosswicks Street and Farnsworth AvenueFarnsworth Avenue and Railroad AvenueSecond Street and East Church Street

The shuttle will run approximately every 15 to 20 minutes on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 10 p.m. Additional dates and times may be added during the upcoming holiday season as well as during special events.
